St. Bart’s Shortlisted for SEND Award at the MAT Excellence Awards 2026

February 27, 2026

We are incredibly proud to share that St. Bart’s Multi-Academy Trust has been shortlisted for the SEND Award (13+ schools) at the MAT Excellence Awards 2026.

In the announcement, MAT Excellence wrote:

“St. Bart’s MAT, with 23 academies including Abbey Hill Academy & College, embeds SEND inclusion through research-informed practice, Apple Trust 1:1 iPads, Bsquared tracking, Virtual School collaboration and initiatives such as their SEND & Inclusion Conference at Bet365 Stadium, creating trust-wide belonging, equity, and high aspirations to ensure that all children, including those working significantly below age-related expectations, thrive.”

This recognition reflects our ongoing commitment to inclusion across all of our academies. Every child in our Trust matters, and we are determined to ensure that all learners are supported to flourish and succeed.

We would like to thank the leaders, teachers, support staff, families and pupils who make inclusive education part of everyday life across St. Bart’s.

Following our shortlisting for the Environmental Trust of the Year in 2025, this is another proud moment for the Trust and a real reflection of the collective effort across all our academies.

Together, we are releasing potential and ensuring every child has the opportunity to thrive.
