Pupil Parliament

We have a Passion for releasing potential in all our children and staff through the Encouragement and development of Ambition, aspiration and excellence in all aspects of our work. Our commitment is to place children at the centre of everything we do. Working in Collaboration, we strive to provide the highest quality of educational experiences and outcomes for our young people in an inclusive environment. Through the Enjoyment of learning, we live life together in all its fullness through PEACE

Article 12 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) says that children and young people should have a say in decisions that affect their lives. Pupil parliament provides a meaningful way in which pupils from across the MAT can voice their opinions and have their views taken into account in decisions which impact upon them whilst teaching our young people about democracy, local and global citizenship and accountability.

During the 2024-2025 academic year, our members of pupil parliament (MP’s) will focus on 3 key themes based on the UN sustainable development goals. Their views will feed into the SBMAT sustainability plan.
