Our latest Trust-wide Inset Day was filled with insightful moments and opportunities for growth. Here’s a recap of the day’s sessions:
Our day kicked off with a warm welcome from Lisa Sarikaya, our CEO, who set the tone for a productive and collaborative day ahead. Her opening remarks emphasised the importance of community and shared goals within St. Bart’s Multi-Academy Trust (SMAT).
We then shared a powerful video (below) highlighting the impact staff across the Trust have on our pupils. This video is a tribute to every teacher, support staff member, and leader who plays a part in shaping young lives. Through patience, encouragement, and belief in every child’s potential, you help them compose their own masterpiece—a journey of growth, discovery, and success.
Next, Johnny Anderson, our Chair of the Trust Board, shared his personal experience of those who have had an impact on his life. He concluded his speech with a sincere thank you to everyone in our trust for their hard work and the impact they are having on our pupils, families and communities.
Wendy Delf
Wendy Delf then took the stage, offering her expertise on fostering a positive and supportive learning environment for both students and staff. Wendy shared some excellent practical examples from schools she has worked with, that demonstrate ways of working that will promote progress and ensure impact in what we do.

Action Jackson
The energy of the morning skyrocketed when Action Jackson joined us. Known for his high-energy and motivational speaking style, Action Jackson engaged the group with an inspiring presentation. Thank you for inspiring us to fill up our cups and remember our why!
