Need-to-know: DfE to provide free period products for your school
20 January 2020
You can now order pads, tampons and other products from Personal Hygiene Services (phs) Limited for pupils who need them, funded by the DfE.
From 20 January 2020, all state-funded schools and colleges in England will be able to order free period products. You’ll be able to order them from phs Group.
The scheme, which the Department for Education (DfE) is paying for, aims to eliminate barriers to education faced by pupils who have periods.
Each school’s funding allocation is based on government estimates on the proportion of pupils who are likely to need these products.
