The St. Bart’s Multi-Academy Trust is a charitable company limited by guarantee.
We are a West Midlands based Multi-Academy Trust with 16 academies in our family of schools. Our head office is at Belgrave St. Bartholomew’s Academy in Stoke-on-Trent.
See details about our academies here.
The Board of Directors (Trustees)
The Board of Directors, the body that oversees the running of the Trust, meets once or twice each term and is supported in its work by the Company Secretary.
The Board consists of the Executive Principal, Headteacher Directors, Academy Directors and Community Directors. Each academy has equal representation on the Board of Directors. When a new member joins the Trust, the Board of Directors expands to accommodate additional Directors.
The Board consists of the Chief Executive Officer, who is currently the Executive Principal of the sponsor school and National Teaching School, and up to 6 other Directors. As a mixed mode MAT the St Bart’s Academy Trust has a minority member from the Lichfield Diocese as a Director. The current Director nominee is Mr Colin Hopkins, the Director of Education for the Diocesan Board of Education.
The St. Bart’s Multi-Academy Trust is committed to improving the life chances of all children, wherever they may be. This moral obligation, our mission, does not end at the school gates, within our own Local Authorities, or even within our own country. Where St. Bart’s Academies have the capacity to make a difference, they are morally bound to do so.
